Scorpion (Schooner) logbook, 1778.

The logbook or privateering journal of the schooner Scorpion details a voyage in the Atlantic Ocean, off the coast of Cape Cod and New Jersey, March-June 1778. The master was John Brooks; the schooner's owners were Elias Hasket Derby and Ichabod Nichols. The logbook includes inventories of the goods removed from prizes taken during the Revolution.
